Wow, v1.3.4.1 was such a cluster of mess. Not only that it crashed literally everywhere, but it also broke lots of things. Let's (hopefully) fix that.

Changes:

  • Fixed crashes due to ProGuard killing SlidingUpPanel class.
  • Improved searching; now it should be less buggy.
  • Silenced receiver log-flood.

Not a whole lot, I know, but at least it's usable.

Why x.x.x.1? Because I like milestones but like any sane person, I don't want to bump the version too much.

Changes in this small release:

  • Improved fuzzy search.
  • Keyboard navigation! If you have a full-sized keyboard handy in your pocket (for some reason), you can now navigate the app list by using arrow keys.
  • Several user experience improvements for the nitpicks.
  • Minute bug fixes; things should work better, if it wasn't already.
  • Increased app size is a huge plus because support libraries are super friendly to an SDK update.

I'm thinking of doing larger releases later, but I'm sure it's going to be another minor bump.

v1.3.4

It's a bugfix release. It needs no introduction. Let's begin.

Changes in this release:

  • Fixed crashing when a set icon pack is uninstalled.
  • Favourites panel should hate you less and will glitch out less often now.
  • Optimisations, optimisations. You won't see them, but it's there.
  • Speedy performance improvements or something.

Don't worry, I'm only ironing out v1.3 for a bigger release at later date. Hopefully one that breaks less.

v1.3.3

Oh hey, wouldn't you know it? It's a bug fix release that does something else apart from fixing bugs!

Changes in this release:

  • Favourites panel has been reworked. It's now better, more responsive, and require no swipe to summon.
  • Fuzzy search should now swoop in more results.
  • Fixed issues regarding toolbar not showing up in ICS and Jellybean.
  • Other minute improvements that you may or may not see.

Honestly, I feel like I needed to do more and I think this should have been a 'v1.3.2.1', but hey — it is what it is.

v1.3.2

One whole week without a release feels awfully dull. Let's change that.

Changes in this release:

  • Hubby Launcher is now HgLauncher! No acquisition was done, I just felt like changing the name into something less rational.
  • Backup and restore. This doesn't need any explanation. It backups and restores your current configuration; be it pinned apps, hidden apps, anything in between, etc.
  • Theme preferences are now applied on-the-fly. No need to open the desktop to see the sweet dark theme be applied.
  • Improved hidden apps management, now you can quickly check off any apps you think should be hidden.
  • The launcher now have adaptive icons. It's not that we need to have them though.
  • Fixes a lot of crashes, UI inconsistencies, and other such problems caused by bad codes and life decisions.
  • Bug fixes and speedy performance improvements.

Hey, the launcher is also live on Play Store, go check it out!

v1.3.1

This is a whole lot more than a bug fix release, I promise.

Changes merged and added to this release:

  • Favourites panel! Pin your apps to an intuitive panel that you can summon with a swipe. You can also configure the panel position for an ease-of-use.
  • General performance improvements and removed crufts bogging the code down
  • Reduced APK size for that sweet-sweet storage space.
  • Plenty of bug fixes. You can probably notice them at first glance, too.

Yes, this is still technically a bug fix release.

v1.3.0.1

A quick fix release that should fix broken app listeners as well as erratic app list. Just ignore the previous release I made and pretend this is the actual v1.3 from now on.

v1.3

Finally a release that actually added something and isn't focused on bug fixing. Sort of.

With this release, the following changes has been merged:

  • Limited icon pack support. Make your launcher less dead and dull!
  • Fixed generally untrustworthy app panel; it should now be less hectic and sporadic.
  • Major bug fixes. Lots of them, let me tell you that.
  • User experience improvements because I don't know what else to type here.

Be ready for more bug fixes release!

v1.2.2

Apparently v1.2.1 was a cluster of mess. Here's a token of my apology.

This release fixes the following issues:

  • Unstable, broken, or generally untrustworthy app hiding. It should work better and smoother now.
  • Wallpaper shade not at all shading the entire screen for some reason.

It also adds a few new additions:

  • If you feel that the app panel is making you claustrophobic, be sure to try out the new 'comfy' padding mode. It's guaranteed to look different.
  • The launcher will now refresh itself whenever it detects newly installed/removed applications. No more manually refreshing the launcher!
  • Preferences/configuration changes are now applied immediately; restart not required.
  • Improved user interface for hidden app management.

I feel that I'm missing something while writing this, but I don't think it's important.

v1.2.1

Issues addressed by this release:

  • Hiding app does not work unless the launcher is restarted or force closed.
  • Changes made in settings does not apply immediately, requiring a complete launcher restart.
  • App list is ordered wrongly, or is generally doing things that it wasn't meant to do.

Update is recommended unless you like bugs, in which case, good on you.
