La Joya is an app optimized for mobile to save and listen to sound clips in a dialect of Nahuatl spoken in Oaxaca and Guerrero, Mexico.
The app is in Spanish to facilitate recording of the elderly bilingual Nahuatl-Spanish speakers by their children and grandchildren.
The app is currently a work-in-progress available at: la-joya.herokuapp.com
This app currently can be used in Chrome 3.1 and above. The limiting factors are getUserMedia and web worker FormData.
Sign in with Facebook is required in order to be able to block bad behavior. Your name, email, and profile image URL are saved in the database. They will not be shared or distributed.
