This repository ships several important components required for cloud scale deployment of openHAB.
It does bring device authentication API which rely on OAuth Device Flow and not copy-pasted configs. With such mechanism it is possible to have "effortless" pairing experience which does not bother user. This also means that authorization server who ship device token can confirm device identity (identifiers). Major advantage of OAuth Device Flow is explicit support for multiple device instances.
Device authentication have been tested with openHAB-compatible deployments. Separation of modules is made in such a way that it is possible to run it on pure OSGi and not only openHAB.
Next two bits which are shipped are related to device identifiers and mqtt connectivity.
Given that MQTT is a handy way to transmit telemetry data this repository also ships basic MQTT integration.
The MQTT service depends upon successful device authentication and use authorization information returned by server JWT (organization + device claims).
Last portion are feature sets which can be run with openHAB as well as any other system (including custom forks of earlier one).
