Thesis

Here you can find the Notebooks developed in Mathematica 11.0 for my Ph.D. thesis and other resources. 😜

  • We use the FeynArts and FeynCalc packages to generate the diagrams and amplitudes. 💻
  • For more references about the work 📑, you can read the Abstract and see the slides used in the defense.
  • For the thesis text, you can read it here.
  • Article including QCD and notebooks are in progress.
  • The notebooks need to be downloaded and have the corresponding packages downloaded to run them.

For the electron correction in 2-loop QED:

  • The divergent part of the amplitudes is evaluated using the regularization process known as Implicit Regularization (IREG). 🔨
  • The final 1-loop and 2-loop results for this divergent integrals with IREG can be found here. 😎

For the electron correction at 1-loop order:

  • We also calculate the integrals with finite results. For this, we use Package-X. Those notebooks and notes can be found in this repository as well. 😵

About IREG:

About regularization methods in general:

  • I recommend reading these great articles at 1-loop and 2-loops order. 📑

These studies were financed in part by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - Brasil (CAPES) - Finance Code 001. Thus, I acknowledge CAPES for the given financial support in the form of a Ph.D. scholarship.

This codes are based upon work from COST Action CA16201 PARTICLEFACE, supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology, www.cost.eu).

We also acknowledge support from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) through the projects UID/FIS/04564/2020 and CERN/FIS-COM/0035/2019
