Installation Instructions

To get the server running locally:

  • Clone this repo
  • yarn to install required dependencies
  • yarn dev to start the local server

To view GQL Playground go to localhost:8000/graphql.

USERS

PROJECT PHOTO

The URL will be used to make a put request to aws to store the photo. The key will be used to store in our database's project_photos table. You will pass it to another asynchronous method. Keep in mind that the key is the right half of the URL that we are reading the photo from. This ensures that if we wanted to change cloud services, we could do so without losing any data
POST /photo/projects N/A The url will come from the response of the presigned url. Make sure that you are saving the key to the url column. Example: url:key, not url:url. req.body: { projectId, url, description, title } This will return the new record you created.

COMMENTS

USER RESEARCH

Environment Variables

In order for the app to function correctly, the user must set up their own environment variables.

Create a .env file that includes the following:

* PORT

* DATABASE_URL

* REACT_APP_SENTRY_DSN

* ACCESS_KEY_ID

* SECRET_ACCESS_KEY

* SENTRY_DSN

* STAGING_DB - optional development db for using functionality not available in SQLite
* NODE_ENV - set to "development" until ready for "production"

* JWT_SECRET - you can generate this by using a python shell and running import random''.join([random.SystemRandom().choice
('abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789!@#\$%^&*(-*=+)') for i in range(50)])

* SENDGRID_API_KEY - this is generated in your Sendgrid account

Issue/Bug Request

If you are having an issue with the existing project code, please submit a bug report under the following guidelines:
