GDM Login screen background changer

Script for GNOME 3.16+ with GNOME Shell themes packed inside /usr/share/gnome-shell/gnome-shell-theme.gresource.

This script allows change background on login screen.

Tested on:

• Ubuntu 20.04
• Ubuntu 20.10
• Ubuntu 21.04
• Fedora 34

But this script should work on any distro with a /usr/share/gnome-shell/gnome-shell-theme.gresource file.

Install

$ git clone https://github.com/AntonVanAssche/gdm-wallpaper.git
$ cd set-gdm-wallpaper/
$ ./set-gdm-wallpaper /path/to/image.png
