App version

3.4.0-beta1 (58db8f1)

Where did you get the app from

Google Play

Android version

12

Device model

No response

First occurred

Last 1.5 days

Steps to reproduce

This looks like a recent regression, as it wasn't happening in 3.3.x. All episodes I have played so far on this version are affected.
Despite the issue, auto-deletion and removal from queue both work correctly.

  1. Play an episode and reach the end (it doesn't seem to matter whether by playing or fast-forwarding)

Expected behaviour

  1. The episode is marked as played, with no progress bar visible

Current behaviour

  1. The episode still has a progress bar visible, as if it was paused

Can confirm. Same here with Android 14.

Should be fixed in beta2

I can still reproduce the issue in beta 2.

For newly completed episodes or for the ones already completed on beta1?

For newly completed episodes played only with beta 2, indeed.

Hmm. Then I don't really understand why this is happening...

My settings, in case they help reproduce the issue:
Auto delete: on
Delete removes from queue: on
Smart mark as played: 30 seconds

I still sometimes see this as well but I can't reliably reproduce it. Every time I test this, it works. But some of my recently played episodes clearly still have progress.

Do you let the episodes play to the very end or do you click another episode while it is still playing (relying on smart mark as played)?

I usually let episodes play to the very end; sometimes, I ffwd past the end. I never end an episode by skipping or by directly starting another one.

I can reproduce this for all played episodes on my device.
