a new release of AlternC 3.x has been published today,
fixing a number of bugs found since 3.1.8:

• fix missing GLOBALS in various places
• fix non-installed default_spf_value and default_dmarc_value in variables
• fix restarting opendkim at each domain in update_domains instead of only once in the end
• fix the infinite loop of inotify_do_actions.sh
• enh added a (protected) message saying a file is write-protected
• fix a HTML graphical bug when uncompression a tar.gz file
• fix creating /etc/opendkim/TrustedHosts BEFORE searching in it
• enh refactoring of the code using netbeans IDE auto-formatting + manual smoothing of class code
• fix phpmyadmin sso not working when /etc/apache2/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf is enabled, removing it.

As we spoke earlier in the list, we don't bring new feature to this stable-3.1 branch, trying to make it a LTS version of AlternC.
Only bugfixes are supposed to enter the branch now.

the enhancment in the list above talking about "protected" files in the browser was accepted because some files could not be edited because they were write-protected, and since the control panel did not show it, it was considered a bug by some users. So displaying it was mandatory to "fix that bug".

fixing a number of bugs found since 3.1.5:

• fix french translation misunderstanding (enabled/disabled emails)
• fix translation not working for strings that disappeared in the past
• fix browseForFolder not working on domaines_type having a - in their name

ALSO GREAT NEWS

alternc-api and alternc-ssl, 2 packages adding new features to the panel has been released as BETA VERSION in this 3.1.6/3.2.6.

alternc-api adds an API to AlternC, (not all classes have been ported yet, mainly ssl, admin, dom, ftp).
The API has been developped thanks to the great advices of Alban from Octopuce, it can be addressed either using a login and password or a shared secret (API Key)
It's pluggable (either on auth methods or classes exported to the api)
It's not currently documented, and need love to make all features of AlternC available through it :)

alternc-ssl adds the ability to manager SNI-based SSL / HTTPS virtual hosts to AlternC:

• basic management of certificates is included, including the CSR generation (using SHA256 of course!), import of existing crt/key/chain bundle
• new templates are proposed: "forced https" (non advanced) that redirect http to https and host https locally, "http & https redirect", "https panel access" and "mixed hosting" (http + https, no redirect)
• hooks in update_domaines.sh ensure that the SSLCertificateFile lines in apache conf are properly setup

AlternC 3.1.5 / 3.2.5 pour Debian Squeeze / Wheezy

This version fixes a small list of bugs that we heard about just after 3.1.4/3.2.4 release.

• fix alias changes not working in some cases
• fix ;;; END ALTERNC zones bug also for older versions
• fix manage remote NFS-based quota when explicitely stated in local.sh (QUOTA_NFS=y)
• fix duplicate variables may be inserted when installing a fresh AlternC

This is AlternC 3.1.4 for Debian Squeeze and 3.2.4 for Debian Wheezy
It features the following patches:

• ensure that values in sub_domaines are prefixed by / for hosting subdomains
• adding enable_original_recipient=no to postfix
• adding tail log view + order by DATE last files in logs
• fix ;;; END ALTERNC zones bug
• proposal (not enabled by default) of error.log per vhost
• default message size limit to 100M, no mailbox size limit in postfix
• fix removal of awstats-package crontab in favor of AlternC's one
• fix unzip/untar/ungzip of files from the browser (double escapeshellarg)
• fix catchall management (bugguy & crappy error messages)

Release 3.1.3 / 3.2.3 of AlternC stable branch for Debain Squeeze / Wheezy

• fix opendkim listening on *
• fix a probable privilege escalation in cron management
• fix a random number generation issue in PHP (rand automatically initialized by time(), not better!)
• fix some shell_exec() or exec() not using escapeshellarg in PHP.
• fix set a proper SSLCipherSuite, removes SSLv3 (poodle protection)
• fix touching opendkim files in alternc.instal to prevent failure at install time

Big bugfix of 3.1 stable branch

I'm glad to announce a new release of AlternC 3.x branch, fixing many bugs found in 3.1/3.1.1 on Squeeze or 3.2/3.2.1 on Wheezy.
