# Algorithm Register Metadata Standard

The Algorithm Register Metadata Standard specifies the format and content of the meta data recorded about algorithms so that algorithm registries can be aligned with each other.
This standard enables aggregation of content across multiple implementations, for example a municipality may provide a registry to its residents and also provide that same data to a national registry.

## Objectives

In this code base we define the metadata standard: what do we register about the algorithms being used in government, why and how.
