alpinecodespace

An Alpine docker image for use as the base image for a custom Codespace project.

Features

Since it's based on the mcr.microsoft.com/vscode/devcontainers/base:alpine image, it supports all Codespace features. In addition, it has these changes:

1. The default user will be vscode.

2. The vscode user's default shell is /bin/zsh.

3. These packages are installed:

   gcc
   musl-dev

Usage

Here are some examples of how to create a custom Codespace images:
