Classiq Coding Competition Submissions

This repository contains my submission for the Classiq Coding Competition.

Hamiltonian Simulation

The challenge was to simulate a Hamiltonian consisting of 276 10-qubit Pauli strings with quantum circuit of minimal depth, using only single-qubit and CNOT gates. The goal was to produce a circuit that approximates \( e-iH \) to within 0.1 in the 2-norm. My code produces a circuit with a depth of 3193, using simultaneous diagnoalization of commuting Paulis and a Trotter approximation of only 2 steps. Had the approximation error threshold been 0.15, the circuit depth could have been halved by dropping the Trotter approximation entirely.
