Getting Started

To get started with the Digital Library Project on your local machine, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the Repository: Clone this repository to your local machine using git clone https://github.com/your-username/digital-library.git.
  2. Install Dependencies: Navigate to the project directory and install PHP dependencies using Composer: composer install.
  3. Set Up Environment: Copy the .env.example file to .env and configure database settings and other environment variables as needed.
  4. Generate Application Key: Generate a new application key using the Artisan command: php artisan key:generate.
  5. Run Migrations: Run database migrations to create necessary tables in the database: php artisan migrate.
  6. Serve the Application: Start the Laravel development server: php artisan serve. The application will be accessible at http://localhost:8000.
