Motivational Quotes

A simple web app to display random motivational quote at every refresh. It uses node.js, npm and is deployed on Heroku.

Check the app right away here.

Setup

1. Clone/download this repository.
2. Install node.js [npm comes bundled with node].
   To check if the setup was successful, run the following commands
   $ node -v
$ npm -v
   If the commands return the version number, the setup was successful.
3. To install all the required packages for this project, run

   $ npm install
   

4. Run the app using

   $ npm start
   

   Check the app at the address localhost:8080 in the browser.
   NOTE: To stop the app, press Ctrl+C.
5. [Optional] To deploy the app on Heroku, follow the instructions here.
