Using latest release (1.5.11.4) on Linux (Pop!_OS 20.10 with GNOME 3.38.3).
For conversations with multiple parties in them where conversation history has been turned off, replying via YakYak causes conversation history to be turned on. No notification about this is displayed in the YakYak client, however. If I then open the conversation in any official Hangouts (now Chat) client (Gmail, mobile app, etc.), I see an entry in the conversation that my user account has turned history on.
This does not occur when replying via YakYak to a one-on-one conversation where conversation history is turned off.
The issue has been occurring for a while, but I hadn't taken the time to report. My workaround has been to use Hangouts in Gmail for only those group chats where I know the conversation history is off by design. Now that Google has forced the Chat product in Gmail in place of Hangouts, the workaround is unusable.
Please let me know if I can supply additional troubleshooting info. Thanks as always for a fantastic tool!
