This release includes a few refinements, which should help to fit the data in effective way.

New features in Spinnaker:

  • Cylindrical and spherically symmetric diffusion possible (1D model)

New features in Spinteractive:

  • Up to four frequencies can now be simultaneously fitted
  • Automatic parameter search to find the best-fitting model

Spinteractive should now be production-ready for two frequencies. Release features:

  • Increased the grid_size, so that the convolution with the effective beam should now work as expected.
  • The spinteractive grid_size is now 200 for improved accuracy
  • Should now be production-ready but needs more testing
  • More than two frequencies need to be still fixed for spinteractive
  • Parameter search needs to be still made working for spinteractive

This release features:

  • Spinnaker model intensity profiles are now convolved with the effective beam, so that they can be directly fitted to the observed intensity profiles
  • Error bars and reduced chi^2-values are now correct in Spinteractive

Missing features:

  • More than two frequencies are not correctly handled yet in Spinteractive
  • Parameter search is also still to be properly implemented

An interactive version of Spinnaker is now available. Everything, which is needed, can be found in the directory 'spinteractive'. There are still some small issues with calculating the reduced chi^2, which we will be fixed in a forthcoming version. Also, the parameter-search function is not working yet.
