Official supercluster github repo says that 8.0.0 has an improved performance for clustering and reduced memory footprint. (https://github.com/mapbox/supercluster/releases/tag/v8.0.0)
It also has an updated version of kdbush which doesn't throw an error if there are no markers on the map.
