Overview
I tried running HLint over the codebase but it ran forever and was killed, see #3746.
Implementation notes
Excludes the the symlinks that make the filesystem loop so that HLint can run.
Interesting/controversial decisions
I opted to also ignore all current hints with the
--defaultoption. This is a clean starting point from which we could remove the hint ignores one-by-one as we fix them, if that is what we want to do with #3747.
