By Tash

Recently I took the AZ-900 MSFT Azure Fundamentals Exam. Here is a list of resources that I took to pass the exam in a week. If you want to get certified in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals then all you need to do is focus on a few things to make the journey helpful.

The first thing you should do is look at the criteria under skills measured. You are marked on the following:

  • Describe cloud concepts (20-25%)
  • Describe core Azure services (15-20%)
  • Describe core solutions and management tools on Azure (10-15%)
  • Describe general security and network security features (10-15%)
  • Describe identity, governance, privacy, and compliance features (20-25%)
  • Describe Azure cost management and Service Level Agreements (10-15%)

  2. Resources.
  3. Summary.

Azure Virtual Training:

During this training event, you will explore how to:

  • Get started with Azure
  • Integrate Azure with your existing networks
  • Better understand key cloud concepts and core services, including pricing, support and cloud security
  • After completing this free training, you’ll be eligible to take the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification exam at no cost.

Resources:

To pass the MSFT AZ-900 exam, you will need resources that will help you in clearing the exam. There are a lot of resources online and it depends on what kind of learner you are. The recommended pathway for MSFT is through the MSFT Learn portal which has mainly documentation. If you are visual learner, this may not be the best resource for you.

Here are a list of resources that helped me prepare for the exam:

Summary:

Getting certified in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals is an achievable task if you know where to look and how you study. I do think you should do practice exams beforehand because it will help you prepare for the certification. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
