SampleSkypeApp

A dummy skype app that demonstrates some windows phone programming concepts.

• .Net and C#
• Data binding using MVVM
• Maintainable/Testable code
• Design patterns
• Use of Expression Blend
• Application architecture (Separation of concerns, UI vs backend code)
• Uml Class diagrams (included in the project)

As the app is developed for Windows Phone, certain tools/libraries are required to make it work. If you wish to try it out, please follow these instructions to install and run it.

1. install Visual Studio Premium/Ultimate 2010 or up (Express will not work)
   
2. Update it to SP1 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23691)
   
3. Install WP7.1 SDK (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27570)
   
4. Update the WP7 SDK to version 7.1.1 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29233)
   
5. Install Async CTP (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9983)
   
6. Open the solution file "SkypeTest.sln" and build/run the project
