Will the latest Beap work with Max 6?

Mostly, but to a decreasing extent. Some things that changed between Max 6 and Max 7:

  • The location of the Beap folder moved, so modules that depend on additional files from the Beap path may not work properly (like, presets, abstractions, poly~ voices etc).

  • Max 7 specific technology will not work in Max 6, like the Retuner module.

  • There are some graphical changes, so these may not translate appropriately back to Max 6

  • Beap assumes a Max 7 workflow, so the preset module and autopattr patch restore are deprecated in favor of Max 7 snapshots, which allow you to store the internal state of vst, au and amxd devices as well.
