The CtrlMainMenu-Plugin gives you the possibility to customize the Main Menu of ILIAS by configuration.

Start at your ILIAS root directory
mkdir -p Customizing/global/plugins/Services/UIComponent/UserInterfaceHook/
cd Customizing/global/plugins/Services/UIComponent/UserInterfaceHook/
git clone https://github.com/studer-raimann/CtrlMainMenu.gitAs ILIAS administrator go to "Administration->Plugins" and install/activate the plugin.

- PHP >=7.0
With ILIAS 5.4 it is already possible to configure the MainMenu (but with less Menu-Item-Types). The CtrlMainMenu-Plugin is compatible to ILIAS 5.4. But with ILIAS 6.0 there will be a lot of braking changes and we won't update the plugin for ILIAS 6.0. There will be another-plugin (or a spin-off) to provide the known Menu-Item-Types in ILIAS 6.0.
