HExchanger

simulation of a labscale 1-1 shell and tube heat exchanger water/water.

  • $U_{inlet shell}$ = 0.2 m/s;
  • $U_{inlet tubes}$ = 0.02 m/s;
  • $T_{inlet shell cold}$ = 283K;
  • $T_{inlet tubes hot}$ = 383K;
  • $configuration = co-current$
  • $baffle-pitch = shell-diameter$;
  • $baffle-cut = 0.25$;

Results:

  • $U_{outlet shell}$ = 0.2 m/s;
  • $U_{outlet tubes}$ = 0.02 m/s;
  • $T_{outlet shell cold}$ = 286K;
  • $T_{outlet tubes hot}$ = 360K;
