Project Milestones and Goals

1. Convert a bulk of San Francisco's Counts to a standardized database format.

  • Status: done. Summer 2011.
  • Info: Most counts from 2009-2012 have been converted to a format that can be read by CountDracula and entered into PostGIS database.

2. Develop basic CountDracula API that will allow attachment of Counts to our Dynamic Traffic Assignment Network for use in validation.

  • Status: done. Summer 2011.
  • Info: Basic API was completed. Realized needed more robust web framework and that there were potential other users other than internal to SFCTA modeling team.

3. Convert to GeoDjango web framework to allow for easy user provisioning and web-based tools.

4. Add web-based front-end using GoogleMaps API to easily see where we have counts (and thus where we needed to add them!)
