What's the Problem You're Trying to Solve?

It's not currently easy to fork the project and create a PR. Instructions on how to get started are out of date and tests fail.

As I understand it gradle isn't used any more in this project and yet:

  1. CONTRIBUTING.md talks about wgradle and needs a revamp
  2. There are loads of gradle files still hanging around

Also:
3. serenity-jira-plugin tests fail, and I'm assuming this is because it's trying to connect to a specific Jira instance.

Proposed Solution

Someone in the know needs to lower the barrier to contribute by updating the docs, and ensuring the tests run without needing access to specific (private?) jira instances (not 100% on the last one).

Alternative Solutions

Implementation Support

  • Contribute the feature myself (with guidance from the Serenity BDD team)
  • Hire the Serenity BDD team for implementation
  • Add it to the Serenity BDD backlog and wait for community contribution
