Rundeck is focussed on being a simple workflow automation tool that via plugins allows you to integrate to a range of tools and sources of data.
User feedback is the primary driver to prioritizing features. The following lists describe what we have in mind for future releases.
- Plugin portal and browser
- Plugins that allow you to introduce new kinds of workflow steps. [Done]
- Plugins to integrate data sources about the resources in your environment [Done]
- Plugins to let you invoke remote actions across hosts over your chosen transport or execution mechanism [Done]
- Data share between steps [Done]
- Configurable queue and semaphore
- Retry (w/ threshold), pre-, post-condition workflows
- Job iteration and step concurrency
- Graphical administration of the access control policy [Done - Rundeck PRO]
- Debian, Solaris, Windows packaging and service management
- Chef, Puppet support for installation
- Upgrade to Grails 2.x [old]
