The original project in this repository was a RAM expansion card for the Amstrad CPC computers.
In fact there are several mini-projects in here now, divided into 3 categories:
1 RAM Cards
- Old School CPC 512K & 1MB RAM Expansion Card for CPC6128 and Plus computers
- Universal RAM Expansion Cards for all CPC computers, with unique Amstrad C3 mode operation on 464/664
2 ROM Cards
3 Expansion Backplanes
- CPC Expansion backplanes- 3 slot and 4 slot expansion boards, with pass through IDC header or edge connectors.
All of the above projects have been built and tested.
Eagle PCB files and zipped archives suitable for getting boards made are included in the Eagle Releases subdirectory.
All programs and data files in this project are made available under the terms of the GNU General Public License v3.
PCBs for these projects can be purchased directly from SeeedStudio in packs for 10 for around £15 (including postage to the UK) - see my gallery pages.
As well as the projects in this repository, I have several other CPC projects which have repositories of their own:
- CPC_CPUCARD - an external ZIF socket for CPU test and development work
- CPC-CPLINK - a card for hookup to a RaspberryPi co-processor
- Z80TUBE - a card for hookup to an Acorn 2nd Processor, or PiTubeDirect
- CPC_PASCAL - software utilities for HiSoft Pascal and some short BCPL programs
