Publishing a feature release

Generally speaking, you'll want to do everything that's listed on the Publishing a maintenance release checklist. But you will also need to merge master into stable before publishing.

Major releases should probably also include a more detailed blog post than usual, highlighting whatever is especially interesting about them, and giving some insights into the future of the project.

If the release represents a major milestone worth sharing with the Ruby community, also post to Ruby Flow.
