• In Dark Mode, the screen "flashes" each time the page/site reloads. This is a Quarto issue that is being tracked here

Resolves several accessibility failures (issue #56) identified with Lighthouse:

• Add alt-text to footer logos/icons
• Navigation bar:
  • Correct the contrast for navigation bar text between color and background
  • Right menu drop-down: Adds aria-label to resolve focusable descendants aria-hidden="true" which prevented interactive elements from being available to users of assistive technologies.

Other accessibility issues that need to be resolved with Quarto have been filed and links from issue #56
