When providing multiple -t* arguments in command line, plantuml generates all the requested formats in single run, so generation of multiple outputs takes much less time.
Example command to generate file.svg, file.png and file.xmi from file.puml in single execution:
java -jar plantuml.jar -tsvg -tpng -txmi file.puml
