DevelPackages

Saray Cabrera Padrón edited this page Mar 29, 2023 · 1 revision

The name is confusing but DevelPackage stands for the package where the development happens.

A good example is the association between openSUSE:Factory/vim and editors/vim. The project openSUSE:Factory includes the package vim but, in reality, all the development and collaboration happens on editors/vim. That's why we call editors/vim the DevelPackage (might be named as DevelopmentPackage).

DevelProject is "deprecated" according to this line so we focus on DevelPackage only.

How to set up a development package?

osc -H setdevelproject openSUSE:Factory vim editors vim
