WeVis,Parliament Watch,"WeVis, a pioneering civic technology initiative in Thailand, is dedicated to empowering citizens through open data and digital participatory tools. Over the past 5 years, our organization has evolved from a group of dedicated young volunteers into a dynamic force for democratic engagement. One of our most significant endeavors has been the development of a parliament monitoring tool—an innovation previously nonexistent in our country. Inspired by platforms like TheyWorkForYou and GovTrack with the hope of seeing political transparency in our society, we embarked on this journey in 2019, developing these platforms to suit Thailand's political landscape. With not much knowledge background, we created TheyWorkForUS (theyworkforus.wevis.info) as an MP tracker, Law Watch (wevis.info/law-watch) as a bill tracker, and Promise Tracker (promisetracker.wevis.info) as a policy tracker. We prioritized stakeholder feedback, soliciting input from voters, political parties, MPs, parliamentary officials, media outlets, and academics. This feedback informed the continuous improvement of our projects. Also, we have connected with parliamentary monitoring organizations in other countries to learn more about how should we monitor the parliament. We are now proud to announce the launch of Parliament Watch, an open-source comprehensive platform (parliamentwatch.wevis.info) that serves as a one-stop solution for monitoring Thailand's parliament.",https://parliamentwatch.wevis.info/,"Open Government,Open Government Data,Transparency",Thailand,"Thai,English",Ongoing,logo-black.svg,parliament-watch,Y
OpenUp,SANEF Wazimap Dashboard,"Access to critical data remains a significant hurdle for professionals across various sectors in South Africa, particularly for journalists requiring data under government custody. Despite strides towards International Open Data standards by the South African government, a knowledge gap exists among journalists regarding available data access points, leading them to depend on the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) for information retrieval. The 2024 national elections in South Africa underscore the urgent need for journalists to access a comprehensive set of data, including financial performance, capital expenditure, census data, municipal data and service delivery implementation. The project aims to bridge this gap, ensuring journalists are well-equipped with necessary data to enhance electoral coverage and public awareness. OpenUp developed the SANEF election dashboard in 2021. The vision for the dashboard is to be leveraged effectively for the post-election context, and in anticipation of future elections, using user-centred design practices to potentially evolve into a Local Government Data Dashboard for data driven reporting",https://elections.sanef.org.za/dashboard/,"Open Elections,Open Data",Zambia,English,Ongoing,openup-logo.png,sanef,Y
