A playground to experiment with Rails quickly and easily.
RailsPlay is a simple Rails app (5.0.0.1) containing a few models, views and seed data. The goal of RailsPlay is to provide an app with the most basic features in order to quickly test a gem or a piece of code in the context of a fully functional app.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/nicoschuele/railsplay.git - Install the necessary gems:
bundle install - Run the DB migrations:
rails db:migrate - Optionally, add initial data to the app:
rails db:seed - Launch your Rails server:
rails s - Run the app in your browser by visiting
http://localhost:3000
