A (kinda) minimal quick-start installer for OSX development

Just run nmwd to get the goods 🎉 and / or fork this repo enables backup to keep any config modifications you make sync'd to your github fork! 🔥

The loadout

• devtools: brew, iterm, docker, fish shell, VS Code, python3, git, wget, npm
• general use apps: Chrome, slack, zoom
• system settings:
  • prevents workspaces from rearranging
  • use 24hr clock time format
  • show all filename extensions, suppress warning for changing them
  • disable "are you sure you want to open?" dialog
  • prevent creating .DS_Store
  • disable recents section of dock
  • enable tap to click
  • enable automatic updates in background
  • don't prompt when quitting iterm2

TODO

• update docs w/ dotfile & fish theming info
• make awesome dotfiles
• anaconda install (annoyingly you need to explictly specify release date 🙄 )
• make imsg animation pick a random cmd
• option to skip said goofy animation 😛
