Upon clicking on "Center Lines" or "Center Line" you will get a menu with different choices.

repeat: If checked the menu won't close after defining one dimension

Grid Options: allow you to snap the dimensions to a grid

grid on will toggle the visibility of the grid

spacing: will define the spacing of the main grid (default: 1 mm)

display period: will define how often the lines are displayed (default: 20)

color: line color of the grid lines

line width: line width of the grid lines (default: 0,15)

Preferences: define preferences of the dimension appearence

dot length: defines the length of the dot (default: 2 mm)

dash length: defines the length of the dash (default: 6mm)

gap length: defines the length of the gap (default 2 mm)

line width: defines width of the line (default: 0,3 mm)

centerLine_color: defines the color of the center Line

Set as default: Accept settings as default

Intended workflow for center lines (for circles)

  • click on the icon and choose your green highlighted circle
  • a dash-dotted line will be drawn from the center of the circle
  • select horizontal and vertical end of line
  • two center lines have to be drawn to show the wanted output

Intended workflow for center line (for axis-symmetrical objects)

  • click on the icon and choose a grab point being part of the symmetry axis
  • move cursor in one direction horizontal or vertical and click to define first point of line
  • move cursor in other direction horizontal or vertical and click to define second point of line

Tipps:

  • changing the length of the lines afterwards can be done by selecting the dimension in the tree view, and changing the values in the section "Placement Clicks" in the data tab
