Version 1.14.0 is a feature release, which introduces new controls (off by default) to reduce the impact of locks caused by retained messages.

Under certain buffer-full conditions for websocket clients, the writer thread would spin and get stuck until there is room in the socket buffer again. All websocket users are advised to upgrade.
