Updates

  • added one additional adjust bus timings to the RAD (main menu)
  • additional boot options in rad.cfg (e.g. to avoid problems with the C128 booting from disk)
  • fixed GeoRAM image-saving

(Copy these files on a FAT32-formatted SD-card.)

Where did you get your RAD? How to get one? Where not to get one?

You've built it yourself? Cool, this project is for tinkerers!

If you have questions about assembling one, don't hesitate to ask!

If you can't build one yourself, there are official sellers of Sidekick64/RAD/SIDKick: www.restore-store.de (all three projects), www.retro-updates.com (Sidekick64), [https://www.ebay.com/usr/jamessahm](ebay James Sahm, US), [https://www.ebay.de/usr/ausvantage_online](Ausvantage/ebay Australia), [https://plannetcss.com/shop](Planet CSS, US), [https://www.ebay.com/usr/stmlord](stmlord/ebay EU).

It is also perfectly fine and appreciated if someone sells spare PCBs (populated or not) of a PCB-order or manufactures a small batch and offers them on a forum or so, but I expect the price tag to be lower than that of the aforementioned official sellers.

If you bought a Sidekick64/RAD/SIDKick for the same price or even more, this clearly is a violation of the license and you should ask the seller why they are not respecting open source/CC developers' licenses.

Unfortunately there are also sellers who violate the license deliberately (e.g. who according to own statement act commercially and answered mails impudently). If you find sellers offering more than "spare PCBs" who are not listed above, there is a good chance that it's one of the persons who demotivate people doing open-source projects.
