Simple Win32 C++ HelloWorld application with CMake.

Building

Launch Developer PowerShell for VS 2022 and follow instructions below.

Create build directory and then cd into the directory:

New-Item -ItemType Directory -Force -Path build
cd build

Build project:

cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ..

Compile:

cmake --build .

Run:

.\Debug\helloworld.exe

Building on Linux

Install Bottles and then create a Wine instance. This is required for running helloworld.exe later.

Build Wine Podman image:

podman build -t extra2000/win32-helloworld/mingw .

Create build directory:

mkdir -pv build

For SELinux platform, allow this project directory to be mounted into Podman container:

chcon -R -v -t container_file_t .

Build project:

podman run -it --rm -v ./:/opt/project:ro -v ./build:/opt/build:rw --workdir /opt/build extra2000/win32-helloworld/mingw bash
mingw64-cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ../project
make

To test the build application, open the build/helloworld.exe using Bottles.
