Basic plan
- Bring up observations from Brazil;
- How did Zika spread around the country;
- Apply lat-long to map locations previously collected;
- Try to predict potential areas that could be affected by Zika in Texas
- Given a huge set of features (described into 'Analysed and collected features'), rank and select the most relevant group
- Narrow down to at least 3 input features with well-shaped data.
Analysed and collected features
- Population
- Density
- Lat-long
- Incidents
- Water
- Different Countries
- Co-related diseases
- Transmitter (mosquito species)
- Disease groups (chikungunya, dengue, febre amarela)
- Tiemseries analysis
- Sewer + sanitation information
- Cultural + education aspects
- Weather
- seasons
- Temperature
- humidity
- Aedes Lifecycle
- Epidemic factors
- Disease timings
- virus propagation
- transmission stages
Steps for geo-mapping
- collect from diva-gis.org into the appropriate format (topojson, geojson)
- upload the collected file to mapshaper.org
