Hi! I'm Carlos

  • 🎓 I'm currently finishing my BSc. in Computer Science and Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Leiria
  • 🏎️ I lead the autonomous driving department of my university's Formula Student Team, LART. I also do development, mainly in the perception area:
    • Train an object detection neural network in a custom dataset (FSOCO)
    • Develop C++ software to use stereo imagery to classify cones and get its positions in 3D space
  • 🤖 I do research at the Robotics Laboratory of my university in the field of computer vision, more specifically sensor fusion using deep neural networks, at the moment:
    • Study the state-of-the-art in image processing neural networks
    • Study the state-of-the-art in point cloud processing neural networks
    • Study the application of Transformers to the multi-modal sensor fusion problem
