Analysis of Customer Behavior and Churn Rate in Beta Bank by Carlos Horta (carlosgim@gmail.com)
The objective of this project is to determine if a customer will leave the bank soon by analyzing their past behavior and contract terminations. The management has determined that retaining existing customers is more profitable than attracting new ones.
In this project, a model will be developed to identify the maximum possible value of F1 (with a minimum of 0.59), and this metric will be evaluated using the test set. Additionally, the AUC-ROC metric will be measured and compared with the F1 score.
The available features in the dataset are as follows:
- RowNumber: index of the data row.
- CustomerId: unique customer identifier.
- Surname: customer's surname.
- CreditScore: customer's credit score.
- Geography: customer's country of residence.
- Gender: customer's gender.
- Age: customer's age.
- Tenure: duration of the customer's fixed-term deposit maturity (in years).
- Balance: customer's account balance.
- NumOfProducts: number of bank products used by the customer.
- HasCrCard: indicates if the customer has a credit card (1 - yes; 0 - no).
- IsActiveMember: indicates if the customer is an active member (1 - yes; 0 - no).
- EstimatedSalary: estimated salary of the customer.
The project aims to predict the "Exited" variable, indicating if the customer has left the bank (1 - yes; 0 - no).
