Presentation

Hello, I'm Benjamin Gallois, a Ph.D. holder in physics and a computer vision developer. Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of technologies, encompassing data analysis, computer vision, and software design. As the founder of Analyzable, a freelancing company, I offer expertise in computer vision and software conception, utilizing C++, Python, and OpenCV for tasks spanning from prototyping to deployment. For inquiries related to my work, please visit this link.

I'm the creator and maintainer of FastTrack, a tracking software designed for scientists. I developed this software during my Ph.D. at LJP, where I studied chemical perception in young zebrafish 🐟. Additionally, I oversee the FastTrack ecosystem, which includes a diverse range of tools for multiple object tracking and data analysis.

What am I doing?

After 4 month working on the Duniter blockchain project using the Substrate framework. I'm now working to extend the capability of You&EyePhoto the software used in the You&Eye Gallery franchise that I designed and created.

In my spare time, I am developing a Deep Learning method to solve occlusion during tracking that could be integrated in PyFastTrack. I'm also working on optimizatin problem related to sport science.

Programming

I'm a self-taught programmer having learned languages and frameworks necessary for my project:

  • Python

  • Rust

  • Julia

  • C++

  • LaTeX

  • HTML/CSS/JS

  • Qt/QML

  • Hugo

Software

In the context of several projects I learned to use:

  • Kdenlive (video editing)
  • OBS studio (live streaming)
  • Jitsi (video conferencing)
  • Blender (3D creation suite)
  • Inkscape (vector image editor)
  • Gimp (raster image editor)
  • Fusion 360 (CAD)
