Notebooks Organized by Week

This release now contains notebook v3 format files only. They have been organized by week in order to take advantage of the new directory navigation in the notebook dashboard now supported by IPython version 2.0 and up.

• The laff python package and flame python module now reside in the https://github.com/ULAFF/lib repo
• The Gaussian Elimination, PictureFLAME, and Spark interactive web applications now reside in the https://github.com/ULAFF/web_apps repo

Legacy LAFF Learning Materials

This is the legacy release that includes all the necessary learning materials, as of May 20, 2015, that were created using the LAFF software packages released on January 23, 2014. However, most if not all materials should still work on future versions.

This release includes the following in the same directory:

• All 95 IPython notebooks
• The laff python package
• The flame python module
• A web app for practicing Gaussian Elimination
• The PictureFlame web app to visualize FLAME algorithms
• The Spark web app that generates FLAME skeleton code

UT501x LAFF Learning Materials

Same contents as detailed in previous release, except notebook filenames have been zero-padded so that they appear in the correct order when listed in the IPython Notebook Dashboard.

UT501x LAFF Learning Materials

This release includes all the necessary learning materials, as of May 14, 2014, to complete the entire programming portion of the first offering of UT.5.01x on edX.org Linear Algebra - Foundations to Frontiers by using the LAFF software packages released on January 23, 2014.

This release includes:

• IPython notebooks of the entire course*
• laff python package
• flame python module
• Web app for practicing Gaussian Elimination
• PictureFlame web app to visualize FLAME algorithms
• Spark web app to generate FLAME skeleton code

*All notebooks were placed in the same directory so that they could all be displayed by the IPython Notebook dashboard v1.1.
