The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for Baconography. Your use of Baconography constitutes your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
We collect your User ID and Password for reddit.com to facilitate you logging in to reddit.com. Your credentials are stored in the Windows 8 Password Vault, an encrypted location that is shared among computers that you explicitly trust. We will not store your reddit.com credentials on any of our servers. Your User ID and Password will be sent to reddit.com to allow you to log in. This information will be shared with reddit.com over a secure connection, and will not be shared with anyone else. By using Baconography to log in to reddit.com, you explicitly agree to the sharing of this information with reddit.com.
#Reddit Browsing History (not collected)
We will not collect or share any details about the sites you visit, or the content you view. Baconography does allow you to "pin" subreddits to your start page, and you may decide to share links, comment, upvote, or downvote content on reddit.com through Baconography. By using this functionality, you need to understand that information is associated with your account on reddit.com. Also, Baconography supports the ability to share content from the subreddits you browse. If you choose to use this functionality, you need to understand that the recipient of the shared link will know where you found that topic on reddit.com. Once a link is sent using the share content functionality, you will not be able to rescind it. Baconography cannot be held accountable if you happen to share inappropriate or embarrassing content.
Baconography supports the ability to download content for offline browsing. This content is only ever stored on your device. The types and location of that content is never made visible remotely to Synergex or any other party.Additionally, during Offline Mode, any links that you share, upvotes and downvotes you execute and comments that you make are stored locally to be pushed through to reddit.com when a connection is reestablished. This data is only stored on your device and is not available remotely to any entity. Once a connection to reddit.com is reestablished, this comment, link and vote data will be sent to reddit.com and will no longer be stored on the device. The data will never be made available to Synergex during this process.
Baconography is not a representative, or directly affiliated with, reddit.com. Anything that you provide to, or interact with, on reddit.com is not covered by this privacy policy. We use the APIs provided by reddit.com to provide you with an alternative interface to reddit.com, but your interactions are with reddit.com, not Baconography. Please read their privacy policy to understand how reddit.com makes use of your data.
We reserve the right to make changes to this policy at any time. Changes will be posted in the Windows 8 Store.
