SUSTAINA-OP™ RoboCup2022 Edition

What is SUSTAINA-OP™ ?

SUSTAINA-OP™ is an open hardware platform developed to reduce the high cost of developing robot hardware. It is designed by Masato Kubotera, based on the "Gankenkun" robot series developed by Hiroaki Shimoyoshi. SUSTAINA-OP™ was adopted as the official robot of the team "CIT Brains" of Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan, and won the world championship of RoboCup Humanoid League KidSize in 2022.

Copyright for SUSTAINA-OP™ is held by Masato Kubotera, not by CIT Brains. The copyright has not been completely abandoned.

Development Environments

The mechanism for this product was designed in Autodesk Inventor 2022.

Acknowledgements

SUSTAINA-OP™ is a robot that incorporates the expertise accumulated by former CIT Brains members who participated in the RoboCup Humanoid League. CIT Brains members collaborated with us in building the actual robots. Additionally, I drew inspiration from various open-source hardware while designing and developing the robot.
