commit 8894891 upstream. On systems with OF_IMAP_OLDWORLD_MAC set in of_irq_workarounds, the devicetree interrupt parsing code is different, causing unit tests of devicetree interrupt nodes to fail. Due to a bug in unittest code, which tries to dereference an uninitialized pointer, this results in a crash. commit c829198 upstream. Length of WMI scan message was not calculated correctly. The allocated buffer was smaller than what we expected. So WMI message corrupted skb_info, which is at the end of skb->data. This fix takes TLV header into account even if the element is zero-length. [ Upstream commit 471b83b ] team's ndo_add_slave() acquires 'team->lock' and later tries to open the newly enslaved device via dev_open(). This emits a 'NETDEV_UP' event that causes the VLAN driver to add VLAN 0 on the team device. team's ndo_vlan_rx_add_vid() will also try to acquire 'team->lock' and deadlock. Fix this by checking early at the enslavement function that a team device is not being enslaved to itself. A similar check was added to the bond driver in commit 09a89c2 ("bonding: disallow enslaving a bond to itself"). Presence of the READ_ONCE() in tun_napi_frags_enabled() gave a hint of what could happen, but we need something stronger to please syzbot. kasan: CONFIG_KASAN_INLINE enabled kasan: GPF could be caused by NULL-ptr deref or user memory access general protection fault: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN CPU: 0 PID: 13647 Comm: syz-executor5 Not tainted 4.19.0-rc5+ torvalds#59 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 01/01/2011 RIP: 0010:dev_gro_receive+0x132/0x2720 net/core/dev.c:5427 Code: 48 c1 ea 03 80 3c 02 00 0f 85 6e 20 00 00 48 b8 00 00 00 00 00 fc ff df 4d 8b 6e 10 49 8d bd d0 00 00 00 48 89 fa 48 c1 ea 03 <80> 3c 02 00 0f 85 59 20 00 00 4d 8b a5 d0 00 00 00 31 ff 41 81 e4 RSP: 0018:ffff8801c400f410 EFLAGS: 00010202 RAX: dffffc0000000000 RBX: 0000000000000000 RCX: ffffffff8618d325 RDX: 000000000000001a RSI: ffffffff86189f97 RDI: 00000000000000d0 RBP: ffff8801c400f608 R08: ffff8801c8fb4300 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: ffffed0038801ed7 R11: 0000000000000003 R12: ffff8801d327d358 R13: 0000000000000000 R14: ffff8801c16dd8c0 R15: 0000000000000004 FS: 00007fe003615700(0000) GS:ffff8801dac00000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 00007fe1f3c43db8 CR3: 00000001bebb2000 CR4: 00000000001406f0 DR0: 0000000000000000 DR1: 0000000000000000 DR2: 0000000000000000 DR3: 0000000000000000 DR6: 00000000fffe0ff0 DR7: 0000000000000400 Call Trace: napi_gro_frags+0x3f4/0xc90 net/core/dev.c:5715 tun_get_user+0x31d5/0x42a0 drivers/net/tun.c:1922 tun_chr_write_iter+0xb9/0x154 drivers/net/tun.c:1967 call_write_iter include/linux/fs.h:1808 [inline] new_sync_write fs/read_write.c:474 [inline] __vfs_write+0x6b8/0x9f0 fs/read_write.c:487 vfs_write+0x1fc/0x560 fs/read_write.c:549 ksys_write+0x101/0x260 fs/read_write.c:598 __do_sys_write fs/read_write.c:610 [inline] __se_sys_write fs/read_write.c:607 [inline] __x64_sys_write+0x73/0xb0 fs/read_write.c:607 do_syscall_64+0x1b9/0x820 arch/x86/entry/common.c:290 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x49/0xbe RIP: 0033:0x457579 Code: 1d b4 fb ff c3 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 66 90 48 89 f8 48 89 f7 48 89 d6 48 89 ca 4d 89 c2 4d 89 c8 4c 8b 4c 24 08 0f 05 <48> 3d 01 f0 ff ff 0f 83 eb b3 fb ff c3 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 RSP: 002b:00007fe003614c78 EFLAGS: 00000246 ORIG_RAX: 0000000000000001 RAX: ffffffffffffffda RBX: 0000000000000003 RCX: 0000000000457579 RDX: 0000000000000012 RSI: 0000000020000000 RDI: 000000000000000a RBP: 000000000072c040 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: 0000000000000000 R11: 0000000000000246 R12: 00007fe0036156d4 R13: 00000000004c5574 R14: 00000000004d8e98 R15: 00000000ffffffff Modules linked in: RIP: 0010:dev_gro_receive+0x132/0x2720 net/core/dev.c:5427 Code: 48 c1 ea 03 80 3c 02 00 0f 85 6e 20 00 00 48 b8 00 00 00 00 00 fc ff df 4d 8b 6e 10 49 8d bd d0 00 00 00 48 89 fa 48 c1 ea 03 <80> 3c 02 00 0f 85 59 20 00 00 4d 8b a5 d0 00 00 00 31 ff 41 81 e4 RSP: 0018:ffff8801c400f410 EFLAGS: 00010202 RAX: dffffc0000000000 RBX: 0000000000000000 RCX: ffffffff8618d325 RDX: 000000000000001a RSI: ffffffff86189f97 RDI: 00000000000000d0 RBP: ffff8801c400f608 R08: ffff8801c8fb4300 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: ffffed0038801ed7 R11: 0000000000000003 R12: ffff8801d327d358 R13: 0000000000000000 R14: ffff8801c16dd8c0 R15: 0000000000000004 FS: 00007fe003615700(0000) GS:ffff8801dac00000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 00007fe1f3c43db8 CR3: 00000001bebb2000 CR4: 00000000001406f0 DR0: 0000000000000000 DR1: 0000000000000000 DR2: 0000000000000000 DR3: 0000000000000000 DR6: 00000000fffe0ff0 DR7: 0000000000000400 Fixes: 90e33d4 ("tun: enable napi_gro_frags() for TUN/TAP driver") Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Reported-by: syzbot <syzkaller@googlegroups.com> Signed-off-by: David S. [ Upstream commit 126d684 ] If a network interface is created prior to the SFP socket being available, ethtool can request module information. This unfortunately leads to an oops: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000008 pgd = (ptrval) [00000008] *pgd=7c400831, *pte=00000000, *ppte=00000000 Internal error: Oops: 17 [#1] SMP ARM Modules linked in: CPU: 0 PID: 1480 Comm: ethtool Not tainted 4.19.0-rc3 torvalds#138 Hardware name: Broadcom Northstar Plus SoC PC is at sfp_get_module_info+0x8/0x10 LR is at dev_ethtool+0x218c/0x2afc Fix this by not filling in the network device's SFP bus pointer until SFP is fully bound, thereby avoiding the core calling into the SFP bus code. Solution is to use same crypto tfm than when generating OOB material on generate_oob() function. This bug was introduced in commit c0153b0 ("Bluetooth: let the crypto subsystem generate the ecc privkey"). Bug was found by fuzzing kernel SMP implementation using Synopsys Defensics. commit 4628a64 upstream. Currently _PAGE_DEVMAP bit is not preserved in mprotect(2) calls. This was possible if unpair_device was called right after ltk was generated but before keys were distributed. In this commit smp_cancel_pairing was refactored to cancel pairing if it is in progress and otherwise just removes keys. Once keys are removed from rcu list, pointers to smp context's keys are set to NULL to make sure removed list items are not accessed later. This commit also adjusts the functionality of mgmt unpair_device() little bit. Previously pairing was canceled only if pairing was in state that keys were already generated. With this commit unpair_device() cancels pairing already in earlier states. Bug was found by fuzzing kernel SMP implementation using Synopsys Defensics. [ Upstream commit a13f814 ] The nft_set_gc_batch_check() checks whether gc buffer is full. If gc buffer is full, gc buffer is released by the nft_set_gc_batch_complete() internally. In case of rbtree, the rb_erase() should be called before calling the nft_set_gc_batch_complete(). therefore the rb_erase() should be called before calling the nft_set_gc_batch_check() too. test commands: table ip filter { set set1 { type ipv4_addr; flags interval, timeout; gc-interval 10s; timeout 1s; elements = { 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, ... 10000-10001, } } } %nft -f test.nft splat looks like: [ 430.273885] kasan: GPF could be caused by NULL-ptr deref or user memory access [ 430.282158] general protection fault: 0000 [#1] SMP DEBUG_PAGEALLOC KASAN PTI [ 430.283116] CPU: 1 PID: 190 Comm: kworker/1:2 Tainted: G B 4.18.0+ #7 [ 430.283116] Workqueue: events_power_efficient nft_rbtree_gc [nf_tables_set] [ 430.313559] RIP: 0010:rb_next+0x81/0x130 [ 430.313559] Code: 08 49 bd 00 00 00 00 00 fc ff df 48 bb 00 00 00 00 00 fc ff df 48 85 c0 75 05 eb 58 48 89 d4 [ 430.313559] RSP: 0018:ffff88010cdb7680 EFLAGS: 00010207 [ 430.313559] RAX: 0000000000b84854 RBX: dffffc0000000000 RCX: ffffffff83f01973 [ 430.313559] RDX: 000000000017090c RSI: 0000000000000008 RDI: 0000000000b84864 [ 430.313559] RBP: ffff8801060d4588 R08: fffffbfff09bc349 R09: fffffbfff09bc349 [ 430.313559] R10: 0000000000000001 R11: fffffbfff09bc348 R12: ffff880100f081a8 [ 430.313559] R13: dffffc0000000000 R14: ffff880100ff8688 R15: dffffc0000000000 [ 430.313559] FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff88011b400000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 [ 430.313559] CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 [ 430.313559] CR2: 0000000001551008 CR3: 000000005dc16000 CR4: 00000000001006e0 [ 430.313559] Call Trace: [ 430.313559] nft_rbtree_gc+0x112/0x5c0 [nf_tables_set] [ 430.313559] process_one_work+0xc13/0x1ec0 [ 430.313559] ? _raw_spin_unlock_irq+0x29/0x40 [ 430.313559] ? pwq_dec_nr_in_flight+0x3c0/0x3c0 [ 430.313559] ? set_load_weight+0x270/0x270 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x40/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x40/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x40/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x40/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __switch_to_asm+0x34/0x70 [ 430.313559] ? __schedule+0x6d3/0x1f50 [ 430.313559] ? find_held_lock+0x39/0x1c0 [ 430.313559] ? __sched_text_start+0x8/0x8 [ 430.313559] ? cyc2ns_read_end+0x10/0x10 [ 430.313559] ? save_trace+0x300/0x300 [ 430.313559] ? sched_clock_local+0xd4/0x140 [ 430.313559] ? find_held_lock+0x39/0x1c0 [ 430.313559] ? worker_thread+0x353/0x1120 [ 430.313559] ? worker_thread+0x353/0x1120 [ 430.313559] ? lock_contended+0xe70/0xe70 [ 430.313559] ? __lock_acquire+0x4500/0x4500 [ 430.535635] ? do_raw_spin_unlock+0xa5/0x330 [ 430.535635] ? do_raw_spin_trylock+0x101/0x1a0 [ 430.535635] ? do_raw_spin_lock+0x1f0/0x1f0 [ 430.535635] ? _raw_spin_lock_irq+0x10/0x70 [ 430.535635] worker_thread+0x15d/0x1120 [ ... ] Fixes: 8d8540c ("netfilter: nft_set_rbtree: add timeout support") Signed-off-by: Taehee Yoo <ap420073@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org>

[ Upstream commit ac1788c ] With commit 2ea6263 ("powerpc/topology: Get topology for shared processors at boot"), kdump kernel on shared LPAR may crash. The necessary conditions are - Shared LPAR with at least 2 nodes having memory and CPUs. - Memory requirement for kdump kernel must be met by the first N-1 nodes where there are at least N nodes with memory and CPUs. Unlike regular kernels, which mark all available nodes as online, kdump kernel only marks just enough nodes as online and marks the rest as offline at boot. However kdump kernel boots with all available CPUs. With Commit 2ea6263 ("powerpc/topology: Get topology for shared processors at boot"), all CPUs are onlined on their respective nodes at boot time. try_online_node() tries to online the offline nodes but fails as all needed subsystems are not yet initialized. As part of fix, detect and skip early onlining of a offline node. [ Upstream commit 4364bcb ] This fixes a general protection fault, caused by accessing the contents of a flip_done completion object that has already been freed. It occurs due to the preemption of a non-blocking commit worker thread W by another commit thread X. X continues to clear its atomic state at the end, destroying the CRTC commit object that W still needs. Switching back to W and accessing the commit objects then leads to bad results. Worker W becomes preemptable when waiting for flip_done to complete. At this point, a frequently occurring commit thread X can take over. Here's an example where W is a worker thread that flips on both CRTCs, and X does a legacy cursor update on both CRTCs: ... 1. W does flip work 2. W runs commit_hw_done() 3. W waits for flip_done on CRTC 1 4. > flip_done for CRTC 1 completes 5. W finishes waiting for CRTC 1 6. W waits for flip_done on CRTC 2 7. > Preempted by X 8. > flip_done for CRTC 2 completes 9. X atomic_check: hw_done and flip_done are complete on all CRTCs 10. X updates cursor on both CRTCs 11. X destroys atomic state 12. X done 13. > Switch back to W 14. W waits for flip_done on CRTC 2 15. W raises general protection fault The error looks like so: general protection fault: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP PTI **snip** Call Trace: lock_acquire+0xa2/0x1b0 _raw_spin_lock_irq+0x39/0x70 wait_for_completion_timeout+0x31/0x130 drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_flip_done+0x64/0x90 [drm_kms_helper] amdgpu_dm_atomic_commit_tail+0xcae/0xdd0 [amdgpu] commit_tail+0x3d/0x70 [drm_kms_helper] process_one_work+0x212/0x650 worker_thread+0x49/0x420 kthread+0xfb/0x130 ret_from_fork+0x3a/0x50 Modules linked in: x86_pkg_temp_thermal amdgpu(O) chash(O) gpu_sched(O) drm_kms_helper(O) syscopyarea sysfillrect sysimgblt fb_sys_fops ttm(O) drm(O) Note that i915 has this issue masked, since hw_done is signaled after waiting for flip_done. Doing so will block the cursor update from happening until hw_done is signaled, preventing the cursor commit from destroying the state. v2: The reference on the commit object needs to be obtained before hw_done() is signaled, since that's the point where another commit is allowed to modify the state. Assuming that the new_crtc_state->commit object still exists within flip_done() is incorrect. Fix by getting a reference in setup_commit(), and releasing it during default_clear(). [ Upstream commit f4bb770 ] With commit 10e5e37 ("scsi: ufs: Add clock ungating to a separate workqueue"), clock gating work was moved to a separate work queue with WQ_MEM_RECLAIM set, since clock gating could occur from a memory reclaim context. Unfortunately, clk_gating.gate_work was left queued via schedule_delayed_work, which is a system workqueue that does not have WQ_MEM_RECLAIM set. Because ufshcd_ungate_work attempts to cancel gate_work, the following warning appears: [ 14.174170] workqueue: WQ_MEM_RECLAIM ufs_clk_gating_0:ufshcd_ungate_work is flushing !WQ_MEM_RECLAIM events:ufshcd_gate_work [ 14.174179] WARNING: CPU: 4 PID: 173 at kernel/workqueue.c:2440 check_flush_dependency+0x110/0x118 [ 14.205725] CPU: 4 PID: 173 Comm: kworker/u16:3 Not tainted 4.14.68 #1 [ 14.212437] Hardware name: Google Cheza (rev1) (DT) [ 14.217459] Workqueue: ufs_clk_gating_0 ufshcd_ungate_work [ 14.223107] task: ffffffc0f6a40080 task.stack: ffffff800a490000 [ 14.229195] PC is at check_flush_dependency+0x110/0x118 [ 14.234569] LR is at check_flush_dependency+0x110/0x118 [ 14.239944] pc : [<ffffff80080cad14>] lr : [<ffffff80080cad14>] pstate: 60c001c9 [ 14.333050] Call trace: [ 14.427767] [<ffffff80080cad14>] check_flush_dependency+0x110/0x118 [ 14.434219] [<ffffff80080cafec>] start_flush_work+0xac/0x1fc [ 14.440046] [<ffffff80080caeec>] flush_work+0x40/0x94 [ 14.445246] [<ffffff80080cb288>] __cancel_work_timer+0x11c/0x1b8 [ 14.451433] [<ffffff80080cb4b8>] cancel_delayed_work_sync+0x20/0x30 [ 14.457886] [<ffffff80085b9294>] ufshcd_ungate_work+0x24/0xd0 [ 14.463800] [<ffffff80080cfb04>] process_one_work+0x32c/0x690 [ 14.469713] [<ffffff80080d0154>] worker_thread+0x218/0x338 [ 14.475361] [<ffffff80080d527c>] kthread+0x120/0x130 [ 14.480470] [<ffffff8008084814>] ret_from_fork+0x10/0x18 The simple solution is to put the gate_work on the same WQ_MEM_RECLAIM work queue as the ungate_work. [ Upstream commit 4d6e4d1 ] IPCB should be cleared before icmp_send, since it may contain data from previous layers and the data could be misinterpreted as ip header options, which later caused the ihl to be set to an invalid value and resulted in the following stack corruption: [ 1083.031512] ib0: packet len 57824 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.031843] ib0: packet len 37904 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.032004] ib0: packet len 4040 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.032253] ib0: packet len 63800 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.032481] ib0: packet len 23960 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.033149] ib0: packet len 63800 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.033439] ib0: packet len 63800 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.033700] ib0: packet len 63800 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.034124] ib0: packet len 63800 (> 2048) too long to send, dropping [ 1083.034387] ================================================================== [ 1083.034602] BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in __ip_options_echo+0xf08/0x1310 [ 1083.034798] Write of size 4 at addr ffff880353457c5f by task kworker/u16:0/7 [ 1083.034990] [ 1083.035104] CPU: 7 PID: 7 Comm: kworker/u16:0 Tainted: G O 4.19.0-rc5+ #1 [ 1083.035316] Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS Ubuntu-1.8.2-1ubuntu2 04/01/2014 [ 1083.035573] Workqueue: ipoib_wq ipoib_cm_skb_reap [ib_ipoib] [ 1083.035750] Call Trace: [ 1083.035888] dump_stack+0x9a/0xeb [ 1083.036031] print_address_description+0xe3/0x2e0 [ 1083.036213] kasan_report+0x18a/0x2e0 [ 1083.036356] ? __ip_options_echo+0xf08/0x1310 [ 1083.036522] __ip_options_echo+0xf08/0x1310 [ 1083.036688] icmp_send+0x7b9/0x1cd0 [ 1083.036843] ? icmp_route_lookup.constprop.9+0x1070/0x1070 [ 1083.037018] ? netif_schedule_queue+0x5/0x200 [ 1083.037180] ? debug_show_all_locks+0x310/0x310 [ 1083.037341] ? rcu_dynticks_curr_cpu_in_eqs+0x85/0x120 [ 1083.037519] ? debug_locks_off+0x11/0x80 [ 1083.037673] ? debug_check_no_obj_freed+0x207/0x4c6 [ 1083.037841] ? check_flags.part.27+0x450/0x450 [ 1083.037995] ? debug_check_no_obj_freed+0xc3/0x4c6 [ 1083.038169] ? debug_locks_off+0x11/0x80 [ 1083.038318] ? skb_dequeue+0x10e/0x1a0 [ 1083.038476] ? ipoib_cm_skb_reap+0x2b5/0x650 [ib_ipoib] [ 1083.038642] ? netif_schedule_queue+0xa8/0x200 [ 1083.038820] ? ipoib_cm_skb_reap+0x544/0x650 [ib_ipoib] [ 1083.038996] ipoib_cm_skb_reap+0x544/0x650 [ib_ipoib] [ 1083.039174] process_one_work+0x912/0x1830 [ 1083.039336] ? wq_pool_ids_show+0x310/0x310 [ 1083.039491] ? lock_acquire+0x145/0x3a0 [ 1083.042312] worker_thread+0x87/0xbb0 [ 1083.045099] ? process_one_work+0x1830/0x1830 [ 1083.047865] kthread+0x322/0x3e0 [ 1083.050624] ? kthread_create_worker_on_cpu+0xc0/0xc0 [ 1083.053354] ret_from_fork+0x3a/0x50 For instance __ip_options_echo is failing to proceed with invalid srr and optlen passed from another layer via IPCB [ 762.139568] IPv4: __ip_options_echo rr=0 ts=0 srr=43 cipso=0 [ 762.139720] IPv4: ip_options_build: IPCB 00000000f3cd969e opt 000000002ccb3533 [ 762.139838] IPv4: __ip_options_echo in srr: optlen 197 soffset 84 [ 762.139852] IPv4: ip_options_build srr=0 is_frag=0 rr_needaddr=0 ts_needaddr=0 ts_needtime=0 rr=0 ts=0 [ 762.140269] ================================================================== [ 762.140713] IPv4: __ip_options_echo rr=0 ts=0 srr=0 cipso=0 [ 762.141078] BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in __ip_options_echo+0x12ec/0x1680 [ 762.141087] Write of size 4 at addr ffff880353457c7f by task kworker/u16:0/7 Signed-off-by: Denis Drozdov <denisd@mellanox.com> Reviewed-by: Erez Shitrit <erezsh@mellanox.com> Reviewed-by: Feras Daoud <ferasda@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Leon Romanovsky <leonro@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

The timer structure has its own lock that manages its synchronization. Setting the IOAT_CHAN_DOWN bit should prevent other CPUs from trying to use that device anyway, there is probably no need to call del_timer_sync() while holding the prep_lock. So the del_timer_sync() call is now moved outside of the prep_lock critical section to prevent the circular lock dependency. To fix, reset the check_shmem_swap flag to false. There's also related bug which sets mss->swap to shmem_swapped, which in the context of smaps_rollup overwrites any value accumulated from previous vma's. Fix that as well. Note that the report suggests a regression between 4.17.19 and 4.19-rc7, which makes the 4.19 series ending with commit 258f669 ("mm: /proc/pid/smaps_rollup: convert to single value seq_file") suspicious. But the mss was reused for rollup since 493b0e9 ("mm: add /proc/pid/smaps_rollup") so let's play it safe with the stable backport. commit 93ec4a3 upstream. The lock_class_key is still registered and can be found in lock_keys_hash hlist after subsys_private is freed in error handler path.A task who iterate over the lock_keys_hash later may cause use-after-free.So fix that up and unregister the lock_class_key before kfree(cp). On our platform, a driver fails to kset_register because of creating duplicate filename '/class/xxx'.With Kasan enabled, it prints a invalid-access bug report. commit e3977e0 upstream. This reverts commit dad3fb6. The commit converted kernfs_idr_lock to an IRQ-safe raw_spinlock because it could be acquired while holding an rq lock through bpf_cgroup_from_id(). However, kernfs_idr_lock is held while doing GPF_NOWAIT allocations which involves acquiring an non-IRQ-safe and non-raw lock leading to the following lockdep warning: ============================= [ BUG: Invalid wait context ] 6.7.0-rc5-kzm9g-00251-g655022a45b1c torvalds#578 Not tainted ----------------------------- swapper/0/0 is trying to lock: dfbcd488 (&c->lock){....}-{3:3}, at: local_lock_acquire+0x0/0xa4 other info that might help us debug this: context-{5:5} 2 locks held by swapper/0/0: #0: dfbc9c6 (lock){+.+.}-{3:3}, at: local_lock_acquire+0x0/0xa4 #1: c0c012a8 (kernfs_idr_lock){....}-{2:2}, at: __kernfs_new_node.constprop.0+0x68/0x258 stack backtrace: CPU: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.7.0-rc5-kzm9g-00251-g655022a45b1c torvalds#578 Hardware name: Generic SH73A0 (Flattened Device Tree) unwind_backtrace from show_stack+0x10/0x14 show_stack from dump_stack_lvl+0x68/0x90 dump_stack_lvl from __lock_acquire+0x3cc/0x168c __lock_acquire from lock_acquire+0x274/0x30c lock_acquire from local_lock_acquire+0x28/0xa4 local_lock_acquire from ___slab_alloc+0x234/0x8a8 ___slab_alloc from __slab_alloc.constprop.0+0x30/0x44 __slab_alloc.constprop.0 from kmem_cache_alloc+0x7c/0x148 kmem_cache_alloc from radix_tree_node_alloc.constprop.0+0x44/0xdc radix_tree_node_alloc.constprop.0 from idr_get_free+0x110/0x2b8 idr_get_free from idr_alloc_u32+0x9c/0x108 idr_alloc_u32 from idr_alloc_cyclic+0x50/0xb8 idr_alloc_cyclic from __kernfs_new_node.constprop.0+0x88/0x258 __kernfs_new_node.constprop.0 from kernfs_create_root+0xbc/0x154 kernfs_create_root from sysfs_init+0x18/0x5c sysfs_init from mnt_init+0xc4/0x220 mnt_init from vfs_caches_init+0x6c/0x88 vfs_caches_init from start_kernel+0x474/0x528 start_kernel from 0x0 Let's rever the commit. [ Upstream commit 4aedcd4 ] Since commit 210f418 ("mfd: rk8xx: Add rk806 support"), devices are registered with "0" as id, causing devices to not have an automatic device id and prevents having multiple RK8xx PMICs on the same system. Properly pass PLATFORM_DEVID_AUTO to devm_mfd_add_devices() and since it will ignore the cells .id with this special value, also cleanup by removing all now ignored cells .id values. Now we have the same behaviour as before rk806 introduction and rk806 retains the intended behavior. [ Upstream commit 55a8210 ] When processing a packed profile in unpack_profile() described like "profile :ns::samba-dcerpcd /usr/lib*/samba/{,samba/}samba-dcerpcd {...}" a string ":samba-dcerpcd" is unpacked as a fully-qualified name and then passed to aa_splitn_fqname(). aa_splitn_fqname() treats ":samba-dcerpcd" as only containing a namespace. Thus it returns NULL for tmpname, meanwhile tmpns is non-NULL. Later aa_alloc_profile() crashes as the new profile name is NULL now. general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000000: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN NOPTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007] CPU: 6 PID: 1657 Comm: apparmor_parser Not tainted 6.7.0-rc2-dirty torvalds#16 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS rel-1.16.2-3-gd478f380-rebuilt.opensuse.org 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:strlen+0x1e/0xa0 Call Trace: <TASK> ? strlen+0x1e/0xa0 aa_policy_init+0x1bb/0x230 aa_alloc_profile+0xb1/0x480 unpack_profile+0x3bc/0x4960 aa_unpack+0x309/0x15e0 aa_replace_profiles+0x213/0x33c0 policy_update+0x261/0x370 profile_replace+0x20e/0x2a0 vfs_write+0x2af/0xe00 ksys_write+0x126/0x250 do_syscall_64+0x46/0xf0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x6e/0x76 </TASK> ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- RIP: 0010:strlen+0x1e/0xa0 It seems such behaviour of aa_splitn_fqname() is expected and checked in other places where it is called (e.g. aa_remove_profiles). [ Upstream commit 6d6eeab ] Lately, a bug was found when many TC filters are added - at some point, several bugs are printed to dmesg [1] and the switch is crashed with segmentation fault. The issue starts when gen_pool_free() fails because of unexpected behavior - a try to free memory which is already freed, this leads to BUG() call which crashes the switch and makes many other bugs. Trying to track down the unexpected behavior led to a bug in eRP code. The function mlxsw_sp_acl_erp_table_alloc() gets a pointer to the allocated index, sets the value and returns an error code. When gen_pool_alloc() fails it returns address 0, we track it and return -ENOBUFS outside, BUT the call for gen_pool_alloc() already override the index in erp_table structure. This is a problem when such allocation is done as part of table expansion. This is not a new table, which will not be used in case of allocation failure. We try to expand eRP table and override the current index (non-zero) with zero. Then, it leads to an unexpected behavior when address 0 is freed twice. Note that address 0 is valid in erp_table->base_index and indeed other tables use it. gen_pool_alloc() fails in case that there is no space left in the pre-allocated pool, in our case, the pool is limited to ACL_MAX_ERPT_BANK_SIZE, which is read from hardware. When more than max erp entries are required, we exceed the limit and return an error, this error leads to "Failed to migrate vregion" print. Fix this by changing erp_table->base_index only in case of a successful allocation. Add a test case for such a scenario. Without this fix it causes segmentation fault: $ TESTS="max_erp_entries_test" ./tc_flower.sh ./tc_flower.sh: line 988: 1560 Segmentation fault tc filter del dev $h2 ingress chain $i protocol ip pref $i handle $j flower &>/dev/null [1]: kernel BUG at lib/genalloc.c:508! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP CPU: 6 PID: 3531 Comm: tc Not tainted 6.7.0-rc5-custom-ga6893f479f5e #1 Hardware name: Mellanox Technologies Ltd. commit 482b718 upstream. Commit 8c5fa3b ("powerpc/64: Make ELFv2 the default for big-endian builds"), merged in Linux-6.5-rc1 changes the calling ABI in a way that is incompatible with the current code for the PS3's LV1 hypervisor calls. This change just adds the line '# CONFIG_PPC64_BIG_ENDIAN_ELF_ABI_V2 is not set' to the ps3_defconfig file so that the PPC64_ELF_ABI_V1 is used. commit e1a9ae4 upstream. max_mapnr variable is utilized in the pfn_valid() method in order to determine the upper PFN space boundary. Having it uninitialized effectively makes any PFN passed to that method invalid. That in its turn causes the kernel mm-subsystem occasion malfunctions even after the max_mapnr variable is actually properly updated. For instance, pfn_valid() is called in the init_unavailable_range() method in the framework of the calls-chain on MIPS: setup_arch() +-> paging_init() +-> free_area_init() +-> memmap_init() +-> memmap_init_zone_range() +-> init_unavailable_range() Since pfn_valid() always returns "false" value before max_mapnr is initialized in the mem_init() method, any flatmem page-holes will be left in the poisoned/uninitialized state including the IO-memory pages. Thus any further attempts to map/remap the IO-memory by using MMU may fail. In particular it happened in my case on attempt to map the SRAM region. The kernel bootup procedure just crashed on the unhandled unaligned access bug raised in the __update_cache() method: > Unhandled kernel unaligned access[#1]: > CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.7.0-rc1-XXX-dirty #2056 > ... > Call Trace: > [<8011ef9c>] __update_cache+0x88/0x1bc > [<80385944>] ioremap_page_range+0x110/0x2a4 > [<80126948>] ioremap_prot+0x17c/0x1f4 > [<80711b80>] __devm_ioremap+0x8c/0x120 > [<80711e0c>] __devm_ioremap_resource+0xf4/0x218 > [<808bf244>] sram_probe+0x4f4/0x930 > [<80889d20>] platform_probe+0x68/0xec > ... Let's fix the problem by initializing the max_mapnr variable as soon as the required data is available. In particular it can be done right in the paging_init() method before free_area_init() is called since all the PFN zone boundaries have already been calculated by that time. [ Upstream commit dad555c ] syzbot was able to trick llc_ui_sendmsg(), allocating an skb with no headroom, but subsequently trying to push 14 bytes of Ethernet header [1] Like some others, llc_ui_sendmsg() releases the socket lock before calling sock_alloc_send_skb(). Then it acquires it again, but does not redo all the sanity checks that were performed. This fix: - Uses LL_RESERVED_SPACE() to reserve space. - Check all conditions again after socket lock is held again. - Do not account Ethernet header for mtu limitation. [ Upstream commit 13e788d ] Syzcaller UBSAN crash occurs in rds_cmsg_recv(), which reads inc->i_rx_lat_trace[j + 1] with index 4 (3 + 1), but with array size of 4 (RDS_RX_MAX_TRACES). Here 'j' is assigned from rs->rs_rx_trace[i] and in-turn from trace.rx_trace_pos[i] in rds_recv_track_latency(), with both arrays sized 3 (RDS_MSG_RX_DGRAM_TRACE_MAX). So fix the off-by-one bounds check in rds_recv_track_latency() to prevent a potential crash in rds_cmsg_recv(). commit b18f3b6 upstream. The btrfs CI reported a lockdep warning as follows by running generic generic/129. WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected 6.7.0-rc5+ #1 Not tainted ------------------------------------------------------ kworker/u5:5/793427 is trying to acquire lock: ffff88813256d028 (&cache->lock){+.+.}-{2:2}, at: btrfs_zone_finish_one_bg+0x5e/0x130 but task is already holding lock: ffff88810a23a318 (&fs_info->zone_active_bgs_lock){+.+.}-{2:2}, at: btrfs_zone_finish_one_bg+0x34/0x130 which lock already depends on the new lock. the existing dependency chain (in reverse order) is: -> #1 (&fs_info->zone_active_bgs_lock){+.+.}-{2:2}: ... -> #0 (&cache->lock){+.+.}-{2:2}: ... This is because we take fs_info->zone_active_bgs_lock after a block_group's lock in btrfs_zone_activate() while doing the opposite in other places. Fix the issue by expanding the fs_info->zone_active_bgs_lock's critical section and taking it before a block_group's lock. [ Upstream commit aed5ed5 ] There is a chance if a frequent switch of the governor done in a loop result in timer list corruption where timer cancel being done from two place one from cancel_delayed_work_sync() and followed by expire_timers() can be seen from the traces[1]. while true do echo "simple_ondemand" > /sys/class/devfreq/1d84000.ufshc/governor echo "performance" > /sys/class/devfreq/1d84000.ufshc/governor done It looks to be issue with devfreq driver where device_monitor_[start/stop] need to synchronized so that delayed work should get corrupted while it is either being queued or running or being cancelled. Let's use polling flag and devfreq lock to synchronize the queueing the timer instance twice and work data being corrupted. That means it's impossible that svm_range_bo_release is running concurrently. However, there is no good way to annotate this. To avoid the problem, take a BO reference in svm_range_schedule_evict_svm_bo instead of in the worker. That way it's impossible for a BO to get freed while eviction work is pending and the cancel_work_sync call in svm_range_bo_release can be eliminated. v2: Use svm_bo_ref_unless_zero and explained why that's safe. Also removed redundant checks that are already done in amdkfd_fence_enable_signaling. [ Upstream commit 4d322dc ] syzbot reported a lockdep splat [1]. Blamed commit hinted about the possible lockdep violation, and code used unix_state_lock_nested() in an attempt to silence lockdep. It is not sufficient, because unix_state_lock_nested() is already used from unix_state_double_lock(). We need to use a separate subclass. This patch adds a distinct enumeration to make things more explicit. Also use swap() in unix_state_double_lock() as a clean up. v2: add a missing inline keyword to unix_state_lock_nested() [1] WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected 6.8.0-rc1-syzkaller-00356-g8a696a29c690 #0 Not tainted syz-executor.1/2542 is trying to acquire lock: ffff88808b5df9e8 (rlock-AF_UNIX){+.+.}-{2:2}, at: skb_queue_tail+0x36/0x120 net/core/skbuff.c:3863 but task is already holding lock: ffff88808b5dfe70 (&u->lock/1){+.+.}-{2:2}, at: unix_dgram_sendmsg+0xfc7/0x2200 net/unix/af_unix.c:2089 which lock already depends on the new lock. the existing dependency chain (in reverse order) is: -> #1 (&u->lock/1){+.+.}-{2:2}: lock_acquire+0x1e3/0x530 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5754 _raw_spin_lock_nested+0x31/0x40 kernel/locking/spinlock.c:378 sk_diag_dump_icons net/unix/diag.c:87 [inline] sk_diag_fill+0x6ea/0xfe0 net/unix/diag.c:157 sk_diag_dump net/unix/diag.c:196 [inline] unix_diag_dump+0x3e9/0x630 net/unix/diag.c:220 netlink_dump+0x5c1/0xcd0 net/netlink/af_netlink.c:2264 __netlink_dump_start+0x5d7/0x780 net/netlink/af_netlink.c:2370 netlink_dump_start include/linux/netlink.h:338 [inline] unix_diag_handler_dump+0x1c3/0x8f0 net/unix/diag.c:319 sock_diag_rcv_msg+0xe3/0x400 netlink_rcv_skb+0x1df/0x430 net/netlink/af_netlink.c:2543 sock_diag_rcv+0x2a/0x40 net/core/sock_diag.c:280 netlink_unicast_kernel net/netlink/af_netlink.c:1341 [inline] netlink_unicast+0x7e6/0x980 net/netlink/af_netlink.c:1367 netlink_sendmsg+0xa37/0xd70 net/netlink/af_netlink.c:1908 sock_sendmsg_nosec net/socket.c:730 [inline] __sock_sendmsg net/socket.c:745 [inline] sock_write_iter+0x39a/0x520 net/socket.c:1160 call_write_iter include/linux/fs.h:2085 [inline] new_sync_write fs/read_write.c:497 [inline] vfs_write+0xa74/0xca0 fs/read_write.c:590 ksys_write+0x1a0/0x2c0 fs/read_write.c:643 do_syscall_x64 arch/x86/entry/common.c:52 [inline] do_syscall_64+0xf5/0x230 arch/x86/entry/common.c:83 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0x6b -> #0 (rlock-AF_UNIX){+.+.}-{2:2}: check_prev_add kernel/locking/lockdep.c:3134 [inline] check_prevs_add kernel/locking/lockdep.c:3253 [inline] validate_chain+0x1909/0x5ab0 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:3869 __lock_acquire+0x1345/0x1fd0 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5137 lock_acquire+0x1e3/0x530 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5754 __raw_spin_lock_irqsave include/linux/spinlock_api_smp.h:110 [inline] _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0xd5/0x120 kernel/locking/spinlock.c:162 skb_queue_tail+0x36/0x120 net/core/skbuff.c:3863 unix_dgram_sendmsg+0x15d9/0x2200 net/unix/af_unix.c:2112 sock_sendmsg_nosec net/socket.c:730 [inline] __sock_sendmsg net/socket.c:745 [inline] ____sys_sendmsg+0x592/0x890 net/socket.c:2584 ___sys_sendmsg net/socket.c:2638 [inline] __sys_sendmmsg+0x3b2/0x730 net/socket.c:2724 __do_sys_sendmmsg net/socket.c:2753 [inline] __se_sys_sendmmsg net/socket.c:2750 [inline] __x64_sys_sendmmsg+0xa0/0xb0 net/socket.c:2750 do_syscall_x64 arch/x86/entry/common.c:52 [inline] do_syscall_64+0xf5/0x230 arch/x86/entry/common.c:83 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0x6b other info that might help us debug this: Possible unsafe locking scenario: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- lock(&u->lock/1); commit e03ee2f upstream. [BUG] There is a syzbot crash, triggered by the ASSERT() during subvolume creation: assertion failed: !anon_dev, in fs/btrfs/disk-io.c:1319 ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/disk-io.c:1319! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN RIP: 0010:btrfs_get_root_ref.part.0+0x9aa/0xa60 <TASK> btrfs_get_new_fs_root+0xd3/0xf0 create_subvol+0xd02/0x1650 btrfs_mksubvol+0xe95/0x12b0 __btrfs_ioctl_snap_create+0x2f9/0x4f0 btrfs_ioctl_snap_create+0x16b/0x200 btrfs_ioctl+0x35f0/0x5cf0 __x64_sys_ioctl+0x19d/0x210 do_syscall_64+0x3f/0xe0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0x6b ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- [CAUSE] During create_subvol(), after inserting root item for the newly created subvolume, we would trigger btrfs_get_new_fs_root() to get the btrfs_root of that subvolume. The idea here is, we have preallocated an anonymous device number for the subvolume, thus we can assign it to the new subvolume. But there is really nothing preventing things like backref walk to read the new subvolume. If that happens before we call btrfs_get_new_fs_root(), the subvolume would be read out, with a new anonymous device number assigned already. In that case, we would trigger ASSERT(), as we really expect no one to read out that subvolume (which is not yet accessible from the fs). But things like backref walk is still possible to trigger the read on the subvolume. Thus our assumption on the ASSERT() is not correct in the first place. [FIX] Fix it by removing the ASSERT(), and just free the @anon_dev, reset it to 0, and continue. If the subvolume tree is read out by something else, it should have already get a new anon_dev assigned thus we only need to free the preallocated one. While running the CI for an unrelated change I hit the following panic with generic/648 on btrfs_holes_spacecache. assertion failed: block_start != EXTENT_MAP_HOLE, in fs/btrfs/extent_io.c:1385 ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/extent_io.c:1385! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI CPU: 1 PID: 2695096 Comm: fsstress Kdump: loaded Tainted: G W 6.8.0-rc2+ #1 RIP: 0010:__extent_writepage_io.constprop.0+0x4c1/0x5c0 Call Trace: <TASK> extent_write_cache_pages+0x2ac/0x8f0 extent_writepages+0x87/0x110 do_writepages+0xd5/0x1f0 filemap_fdatawrite_wbc+0x63/0x90 __filemap_fdatawrite_range+0x5c/0x80 btrfs_fdatawrite_range+0x1f/0x50 btrfs_write_out_cache+0x507/0x560 btrfs_write_dirty_block_groups+0x32a/0x420 commit_cowonly_roots+0x21b/0x290 btrfs_commit_transaction+0x813/0x1360 btrfs_sync_file+0x51a/0x640 __x64_sys_fdatasync+0x52/0x90 do_syscall_64+0x9c/0x190 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x6e/0x76 This happens because we fail to write out the free space cache in one instance, come back around and attempt to write it again. However on the second pass through we go to call btrfs_get_extent() on the inode to get the extent mapping. Because this is a new block group, and with the free space inode we always search the commit root to avoid deadlocking with the tree, we find nothing and return a EXTENT_MAP_HOLE for the requested range. This happens because the first time we try to write the space cache out we hit an error, and on an error we drop the extent mapping. This is normal for normal files, but the free space cache inode is special. We always expect the extent map to be correct. Thus the second time through we end up with a bogus extent map. Since we're deprecating this feature, the most straightforward way to fix this is to simply skip dropping the extent map range for this failed range. I shortened the test by using error injection to stress the area to make it easier to reproduce. With this patch in place we no longer panic with my error injection test. The above added iommu_device structure to pci_controller. During system boot, PCI devices are discovered and this newly added iommu_device structure is initialized by a call to iommu_device_register(). During DLPAR add of a PCI device, a new pci_controller structure is allocated but there are no calls made to iommu_device_register() interface. Fix is to register the iommu device during DLPAR add as well. commit 1389358 upstream. Currently, the timerlat's hrtimer is initialized at the first read of timerlat_fd, and destroyed at close(). It works, but it causes an error if the user program open() and close() the file without reading. Here's an example: # echo NO_OSNOISE_WORKLOAD > /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/osnoise/options # echo timerlat > /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/current_tracer # cat <<EOF > ./timerlat_load.py # !/usr/bin/env python3 timerlat_fd = open("/sys/kernel/tracing/osnoise/per_cpu/cpu0/timerlat_fd", 'r') timerlat_fd.close(); EOF # ./taskset -c 0 ./timerlat_load.py <BOOM> BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000010 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI CPU: 1 PID: 2673 Comm: python3 Not tainted 6.6.13-200.fc39.x86_64 #1 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 1.16.3-1.fc39 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:hrtimer_active+0xd/0x50 Code: 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 0f 1f 40 00 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 f3 0f 1e fa 0f 1f 44 00 00 48 8b 57 30 <8b> 42 10 a8 01 74 09 f3 90 8b 42 10 a8 01 75 f7 80 7f 38 00 75 1d RSP: 0018:ffffb031009b7e10 EFLAGS: 00010286 RAX: 000000000002db00 RBX: ffff9118f786db08 RCX: 0000000000000000 RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: ffff9117a0e64400 RDI: ffff9118f786db08 RBP: ffff9118f786db80 R08: ffff9117a0ddd420 R09: ffff9117804d4f70 R10: 0000000000000000 R11: 0000000000000000 R12: ffff9118f786db08 R13: ffff91178fdd5e20 R14: ffff9117840978c0 R15: 0000000000000000 FS: 00007f2ffbab1740(0000) GS:ffff9118f7840000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 0000000000000010 CR3: 00000001b402e000 CR4: 0000000000750ee0 PKRU: 55555554 Call Trace: <TASK> ? __die+0x23/0x70 ? page_fault_oops+0x171/0x4e0 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? avc_has_extended_perms+0x237/0x520 ? exc_page_fault+0x7f/0x180 ? asm_exc_page_fault+0x26/0x30 ? hrtimer_active+0xd/0x50 hrtimer_cancel+0x15/0x40 timerlat_fd_release+0x48/0xe0 __fput+0xf5/0x290 __x64_sys_close+0x3d/0x80 do_syscall_64+0x60/0x90 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? __x64_sys_ioctl+0x72/0xd0 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x2b/0x40 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? do_syscall_64+0x6c/0x90 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? exit_to_user_mode_prepare+0x142/0x1f0 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x2b/0x40 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0x7f ? do_syscall_64+0x6c/0x90 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x6e/0xd8 RIP: 0033:0x7f2ffb321594 Code: 00 f7 d8 64 89 01 48 83 c8 ff c3 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 90 f3 0f 1e fa 80 3d d5 cd 0d 00 00 74 13 b8 03 00 00 00 0f 05 <48> 3d 00 f0 ff ff 77 3c c3 0f 1f 00 55 48 89 e5 48 83 ec 10 89 7d RSP: 002b:00007ffe8d8eef18 EFLAGS: 00000202 ORIG_RAX: 0000000000000003 RAX: ffffffffffffffda RBX: 00007f2ffba4e668 RCX: 00007f2ffb321594 RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: 0000000000000000 RDI: 0000000000000003 RBP: 00007ffe8d8eef40 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: 55c926e3167eae79 R11: 0000000000000202 R12: 0000000000000003 R13: 00007ffe8d8ef030 R14: 0000000000000000 R15: 00007f2ffba4e668 </TASK> CR2: 0000000000000010 ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- Move hrtimer_init to timerlat_fd open() to avoid this problem. In such case, dsc determination policy would hit a null ptr when it tries to iterate the old/existing stream that does not have a valid connector state attached to it. When that happens, dm atomic check should call drm_atomic_get_connector_state for a new connector state. Existing dm has already done that, except for RV due to it does not have official support of dsc where .num_dsc is not defined in dcn10 resource cap, that prevent from getting drm_atomic_get_connector_state called. So, skip dsc determination policy for ASICs that don't have DSC support. commit bc4ce46 upstream. The below commit introduced a WARN when phy state is not in the states: PHY_HALTED, PHY_READY and PHY_UP. commit 744d23c ("net: phy: Warn about incorrect mdio_bus_phy_resume() state") When cpsw resumes, there have port in PHY_NOLINK state, so the below warning comes out. Set mac_managed_pm be true to tell mdio that the phy resume/suspend is managed by the mac, to fix the following warning: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 965 at drivers/net/phy/phy_device.c:326 mdio_bus_phy_resume+0x140/0x144 CPU: 0 PID: 965 Comm: sh Tainted: G O 6.1.46-g247b2535b2 #1 Hardware name: Generic AM33XX (Flattened Device Tree) unwind_backtrace from show_stack+0x18/0x1c show_stack from dump_stack_lvl+0x24/0x2c dump_stack_lvl from __warn+0x84/0x15c __warn from warn_slowpath_fmt+0x1a8/0x1c8 warn_slowpath_fmt from mdio_bus_phy_resume+0x140/0x144 mdio_bus_phy_resume from dpm_run_callback+0x3c/0x140 dpm_run_callback from device_resume+0xb8/0x2b8 device_resume from dpm_resume+0x144/0x314 dpm_resume from dpm_resume_end+0x14/0x20 dpm_resume_end from suspend_devices_and_enter+0xd0/0x924 suspend_devices_and_enter from pm_suspend+0x2e0/0x33c pm_suspend from state_store+0x74/0xd0 state_store from kernfs_fop_write_iter+0x104/0x1ec kernfs_fop_write_iter from vfs_write+0x1b8/0x358 vfs_write from ksys_write+0x78/0xf8 ksys_write from ret_fast_syscall+0x0/0x54 Exception stack(0xe094dfa8 to 0xe094dff0) dfa0: 00000004 005c3fb8 00000001 005c3fb8 00000004 00000001 dfc0: 00000004 005c3fb8 b6f6bba0 00000004 00000004 0059edb8 00000000 00000000 dfe0: 00000004 bed918f0 b6f09bd3 b6e89a66 Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> # v6.0+ Fixes: 744d23c ("net: phy: Warn about incorrect mdio_bus_phy_resume() state") Fixes: fba863b ("net: phy: make PHY PM ops a no-op if MAC driver manages PHY PM") Signed-off-by: Sinthu Raja <sinthu.raja@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

commit 79d72c6 upstream. When configuring a hugetlb filesystem via the fsconfig() syscall, there is a possible NULL dereference in hugetlbfs_fill_super() caused by assigning NULL to ctx->hstate in hugetlbfs_parse_param() when the requested pagesize is non valid. E.g: Taking the following steps: fd = fsopen("hugetlbfs", FSOPEN_CLOEXEC); fsconfig(fd, FSCONFIG_SET_STRING, "pagesize", "1024", 0); fsconfig(fd, FSCONFIG_CMD_CREATE, NULL, NULL, 0); Given that the requested "pagesize" is invalid, ctxt->hstate will be replaced with NULL, losing its previous value, and we will print an error: ... ... case Opt_pagesize: ps = memparse(param->string, &rest); ctx->hstate = h; if (!ctx->hstate) { pr_err("Unsupported page size %lu MB\n", ps / SZ_1M); return -EINVAL; } return 0; ... ... This is a problem because later on, we will dereference ctxt->hstate in hugetlbfs_fill_super() ... ... sb->s_blocksize = huge_page_size(ctx->hstate); ... ... Causing below Oops. Fix this by replacing cxt->hstate value only when then pagesize is known to be valid. kernel: hugetlbfs: Unsupported page size 0 MB kernel: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000028 kernel: #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode kernel: #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page kernel: PGD 800000010f66c067 P4D 800000010f66c067 PUD 1b22f8067 PMD 0 kernel: Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP PTI kernel: CPU: 4 PID: 5659 Comm: syscall Tainted: G E 6.8.0-rc2-default+ torvalds#22 5a47c3fef76212addcc6eb71344aabc35190ae8f kernel: Hardware name: Intel Corp.
