WhereToMeetup is an application to help connect Meetup organizers with those willing to host or sponsor Meetups in their space.

Roadmap

Minimum viable feature set

• Thin-provision user accounts for organizers from Meetup.com API - DONE
• Allow organizers to see their upcoming and suggested meetups - DONE
• Allow organizers to note which meetups need space (can we detect this from the API?)
• User accounts for hosts - NOT NEEDED (hosts are expected to have Meetup accounts, just like organizers)
• Organizers can request space from specific hosts - DONE
• Organizers can request space from any host - NOT DESIRED (this is spammy and we don't want to do that)

Future/Nice-to-have

• Hosts can volunteer space for a given meetup
• Hosts can volunteer space on a specific date
• Notifications: Twitter, email, SMS (Twilio?)
  • For emergencies: I need a space tonight!
  • On events: someone volunteers space for your meetup
• Matchmaking by geography (i.e. don't suggest SF spaces to NYC meetups)
• Reviews/reputation tracking for venues, hosts, organizers?
