The American Politics initiative promotes understanding of American political issues as they play out over space and time. Politics is inherently about space and seeing how issues like gerrymandering and voting rights, or political campaigns, manifest in various places and specific times can help us understand what is happening, and what we should do in response. Right now this Initiative is centrally focused on gerrymandering and voter rights issues. We work closely with the boundaries issues on gerrymandering questions.
