Rename Dialog:

rename_dialog

  1. Profile Name: Here you can give a commonly used profile a name and then save it. Previously saved profiles can be selected from the drop-down menu and loaded for quick use.

  2. Database: This is the database you would like Filebot to use. If empty, filebot will default to TheTVDB. Make sure you've selected an appropriate database if you are having trouble getting a match.

  3. File Mode: How you want FileBot to relocate the media files. Move, copy, hardlink, etc. Defaults to Move

  4. Format Expression: the format expression you want filebot to use when re-naming your torrent files. See more info at the FileBot website here: http://www.filebot.net/naming.html

  5. Output Folder: This is the parent folder you want your Torrent to be located. Generally, you want this to be your movie, tv show, or music folder. Your format expression will be "prefixed" with this folder.

  6. Your Torrent's original file structure: Here you can see the original state of your torrent.

  7. A preview of what your new file structure will look like: This is refreshed by pressing the "dry run" button. The save path of the new torrent structure will be listed in the header of the windowpane. FilebotTool will do it's best to simplify the new structure to prevent useless folders, and to keep your torrent in a single file branch.

  8. Dry Run button: Lets you preview your current settings

  9. Execute button: runs filebot with your current settings. The window will close if no errors are detected in the run. Your most recently used settings will also be saved for your next use.

  10. Search Query: This field is useful for "forcing" filebot to match against a title. Use it when filebot is having trouble automatically identifying your media. This field is not saved between runs or in profiles. To make a profile uses a search query every time (for example a show like 11.22.63, which filebot will have trouble parsing) Add it under "saved handlers" in the preference pane.

  11. Episode Order: How you want episodes to be ordered. Defaults to Air-date. Switch to DVD ordring if your torrent uses that.

  12. Download subtitles: If checked, after renaming, filebot will attempt to download any subtitles that are missing from your torrent using the encoding and language code you entered. You must have a Opensubtitles account to use this feature, and you must open filebot and add your username and password for it to work. Downloaded subtitles are not added to your torrent, and there is currently no warning if no matching subtitles are found.

  13. Conflict Handling. What you want FileBot to do when it encounters file conflicts while renaming. Defaults to skip. If there are un-resolved conflicts at the end of renaming, FileBotTool will "roll-back" your torrent to it's original state.
