Welcome to the Autorippr documentation.

Currently the documentation is a new and a work in progress. It is updated and improved on a regular (if slow) basis. Autorippr is a tool designed to assist with the automation of converting physical video media discs (DVDs) to digital ones.

At present Autorippr can;

• Take movies from multiple disc drives
• Transcode them in a lossless format
• Compress movies to save disk space
• and download subtitles if the movie lacks them

Autorippr is built using Python 2.7 and runs on most Linux distributions and should run on OSX using Python 2.6.
