About this module:

This module was created for the Flinders University Archaeology Program, based at Flinders in Australia. The module has been designed for transect field survey training aiming to record archaeological features in Australia.

Authorship:

This module was co-developed by Mick Morrison at Flinders University and Adela Sobotkova at the FAIMS Project, Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University.

Funding:

Development of this module was funded by the ARC grant LE140100151, FAIMS: Transforming archaeological research through digital technologies.

This module contains the following FAIMS features:

  • tracklog recording
  • coordinates from internal GPS
  • mapping GIS-like feature
  • photo capture from device camera
  • controlled vocabularies
  • hierarchic dropdowns

This module can be used with no or minor modification for:

  • archaeological transect field survey
  • recording of tracklog with points of interest
